40 years ago, Caelum, a war ridden planet caused by arrogant humans who never learned their lesson, experienced the biggest war ever in its existence. Humans, the victims of their own foolishness, were meant to be wiped out. Destroyed and never to be seen again. But the very people they oppressed and used, who fought tooth and nail for their own rights, Elementals, were the ones to save them. Uprisings of Elemental rebels known as Concord and Talion.
Fighting a false god, an Original Elemental, a creature who lived on the planet long ago and wiped out his own people with a flick of his wrist, the half-Elementals won the world back despite severe loss.
This led to Elementals earning their undying rights to live as equals among humans, creating a mixed society with far less war and suffering. Due to the mass genocide of humans, however, their DNA quickly became impure. No longer the same as it was back on Earth. Evolution has taken it to adapt to its new planet.
Elementals now dominate Caelum. Water, Earth, Air, Fire and Aether.

They’re rare, like Aether used to be once upon a time. Nobody knows much about them, and they are looked down upon for their dangerous, unnatural nature. The drawbacks, and effects of these elements are far nastier than the original elements ever were.

This left the unnatural elementals out, however, and they were forced to bring some things into their own hands, some in good ways and others bad. A secret vigilante group just as big as Aegis formed 2 years ago, accepting of all elements, questioning the now highly commercialized heroes' morals and doing their jobs for them as new threats arise…
But as the years after the War of the Gods progressed, a phenomenon brought upon elementals by jealous human alchemists began. Manmade Elements started to arise one by one, tens by tens, then hundreds until it began to naturally occur. Born as variants of their originals.

They are now the minority. The feared ones.
It is the year 5328, and Elementals run most of the world now. The country of Urania has achieved the title, "Country of Peace," when years ago it was anything but. While its neighbor, New Erewhon, which used to be a much safer place has taken on the problems that once fled from Urania.
Vigilante heroes began to arise, and in response, New Erewhon’s government began letting them register as superheroes. Calling the program Aegis; meant to protect the country and replace the need for police.
