Brass Tacks
Chapter Seven
Skeletons in the Closet
September 7th, 5288
Days since Newhaven burned: 144
Our people have been captured by the police from both Concord and Talion. There hasn’t been much news about how they’re doing. No visitation. No telephone calls. No nothing with the rights of Elementals...
Our sick are at least recovering strong. The police won't know what hit 'em when we storm the prison to get our people back, right?
Someone might scout the place. See what the guards' shifts are. The routine of the prison. Others might try to sent devices in to take a look inside. We have time... There's always time... But maybe not today...
Only a day after arrest, talk of an execution arose within Bonham. A popular topic amongst the richer human fellows. No, there won't be a trial, or selling off to war, or anything like that this time. Concord and Talion must be disposed of in order to send a message to any other uprisings.
To show them who is in control...
They've become far to influential, Talion inspiring Elementals and even humans to attempt to change the rules. Concord, inspiring violent attacks on police and authority...
Today, there's an uproar at the docks, and a massive crowd gathered around. Today is the day.
Our captains. Our quartemasters. Our crews. Our families. They're standing on the Bonham docks, restrained with alchemical glass cuffs, weights, and chains, taking away their magic. Cops beat them with glass batons. The weapons of cowards... Humans toss rocks and rotten food at them and anyone who tries to stop the chaos is escorted off scene...
Promises broken.
Monsters, calling us the monsters.
You know your mission...
Do.
You.
Do?
What.
The Absolute Awakens...
We managed to survive so many humans wanting us dead... All of us. We fought the police. Destroyed nearly every single one of them. Public opinion will no doubt never be the same, but new complications arise. New decisions. Maybe the world isn't all that it seems.
Do we continue to fight for peace and equality? Or do we destroy the problem at its source?
After searching Zadkiel's mansion, going through everyone's things and speaking to some of the inhabitants, we have more information than ever. In the end, we find ourselves reunited in the vestibule... The huge double doors swing open to a black void. Heels tap, tap, tap, until Zadkiel steps into the room, looking us all over.
Sherry comes in after him, along with so many others. So that's where all of the people living here had gone...
They see the books that we now possess, the golden one, being the key to ultimate power, and Zadkiel's History of Elementals book, written by himself. He smiles.
"I see you've found everything you needed. I hope questions have been answered..." He says.
He reaches his hand out in offering. He knows that with all of his people behind him, nobody will be able to make a move to hurt them.
"Now... Who's with us...?"
You have until May 5th to choose a side for the next chapter!
You do not have to buy betrayal to join The Absolute this time around!
The Golden Book
Must be handed over to one side or the other. If Talion and Concord get it, everyone from now on will be at their maximum level.
If The Absolute keeps it, they will all be granted extra powers with what they already have in store for them.
